Codemasters releases Dirt 3 patch for PS3

    Patch features:

LAN multiplayer added.

Graphical defects with the YouTube User Interface have been fixed.

The description for the mission 'Buried Large Pipes' has been corrected.

rFactor 2 video: New tire model

    The new tire model for rFactor 2 the racing simulation from Image Space Incorporated, accurately models the heat, wear, deformation and performance changes a tire undergoes during a racing situation.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 DLC

    The long awaited Test Drive Unlimited 2 Exploration Pack for XBOX 360 is scheduled for released on August 16th.  Released dates for PS3/PC users have yet to be announced.  The free Exploration Pack includes:

New Dirt 3 DLC Released

    X Games Asia Track Pack for Dirt 3 increases Rallycross events with two multi-surface, mud-spattered circuits set in Shibuya, Toyko.  Available for PC, PS3, and XBOX 360.

WRC 2 announced

    Developer Milestone is back with a sequel to World Rally Championship.   Expect World Rally Championship 2 to have improved graphics, an increased number of stages, (76 to 90) and include liveries, vehicles and drivers from the WRC season. WRC 2 is scheduled to be released for XBOX 360, PS3, and PC gamers this October.

Fanatec says goodbye

    Fanatec is no longer manufacturing the Porsche 911 Carrera Wheel, but will be offering a limited supply Final Edition package for 199.95 USD.  The Porsche 911 Carrera Wheel Final Edition includes:

F1 2011 now available for pre-order

     Codemasters has announced that F1 2011 is available for pre-order.  Multiplayer is the focus this year, as online races will allow up to sixteen human opponents, plus eight computer controlled drivers.  F1 will also create more strategy with the additions of DRS (Drag Reduction System) and KERS. (Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems) DRS changes the angle of the rear wing allowing for a greater top speed, while KERS provides a power boost when coming out of corners.  F1 will be available September 23, 2011.  PS3, XBOX 360, PC, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo 3DS owners rejoice.

Dirt 3 gets some Mud and Guts DLC

    Codemasters is set to release their latest add on for the game Dirt 3.  The Mud and Guts Pack includes the following list of cars.

Review: Dirt 3

    Since 1998 Codemasters Colin McRae Rally/Dirt franchise has been a critical and commercial success. It has also been noted as being the series that brought realistic type rally racing to computer and console gamers.  Codemasters last effort (Dirt 2) tried hard to cater to the masses, and ultimately disappointed it's longtime followers.  Almost 2 years have passed since the release of Dirt 2, and Codemasters promises PC, PS3 and XBOX 360 owners a return to it's rallying roots. Is this version of Dirt worth your hard earned cash, or should you just drift on by?
